Biodiversity Education Aquatic Discovery (BEAD) is our environmental education program. This program aims to connect people to the environment by working in partnership with other organisations to deliver coordinated school and adult education activities covering a range of resource management, biodiversity, water and environmental issues within our local catchment area. By arming our community and future generations with practical skills and knowledge, they can then use this knowledge and tools in their daily lives to achieve positive and long lasting outcomes for our environment.
This project provides access to practical information and support for local landholders across the agricultural floodplains on a variety of issues to ensure their land is managed responsibly and effectively. This project will bring together new and existing small landholders and members of the community to gain valuable skills and knowledge and enable them access to resources that will encourage them to make their properties more sustainable and environmentally viable.
The Landscape Legacies project is working with landowners, community groups, Traditional Owners and researchers to improve the condition of threatened Grey Box Grassy Woodlands and Derived Native Grasslands vegetation communities.
