Annual Farm Forum

Our annual Farm Forums consist of information sessions for farmers and landholders that can give an introductory insight into current & innovative topics. It is also an opportunity for land managers to get off farm and hear interesting topics with their peers. This year our Farm Forum sessions will be held over one day and will focus on Farm Safety and Farmer Health. Children are welcome and we will have a variety of activities to keep them busy including badge making, colouring in, and our well known bug expert John will be there with his entourage of bugs for you to look out (and some you can even hold). A free lunch will also be provided.

**Unfortunately we have had to cancel the Farm Forum sessions scheduled for April 30, 2022 due to lack of interest. We hope to run some Farm Safety sessions in the next few months so please keep an eye on our Facebook page for further information.

Topics for discussion will include:

Farm Safety
This workshop aims is to deliver free farm safety tools and services that are accessible, practical and useful to all Victorian farmers to support farmer and workers’ safety, wellbeing and mental health.
Presented by a Farm Safety Adviser from the Victorian Farmers Federation Making Our Farms Safer project.

Farm Crime Prevention
Victoria Police are working alongside Crimestoppers to shine a light on farm crime and help our community improve their security to better protect their stock and equipment. This workshop aims to assist the Farming community to better protect themselves from farm crime, as well as the important role they play in helping police catching farm criminals.
Presented by the Victorian Police Rural Farm Crime Prevention team.

Managing Future Droughts
Drought is an inevitable part of farming in Australia and its impacts can have enormous economic, environmental and social consequences for regional communities. This workshop is for farmers s to share their different experiences of drought and to learn from each other, and to provide better understanding of the health and financial support services available.
