Digging Deeper Soils Course
Digging Deeper is a program that aims to help farmers understand the processes going on in their soil and give them a helping hand to implement changes that will address their soils ‘issues’. It is a hands-on approach to investigate what is below the surface and how it affects your crops and pastures and what to do about soil constraints.
Goulburn Murray Landcare Network has secured funds through the Australian Government Smart Farm Small Grants to deliver this program across a range of industries and businesses with the Goulburn Valley, Victoria.
The Digging Deeper soil program is one of Australia’s most successful soil courses for farmers having been run in NT, Qld & NSW since 2012 with many farmers and graziers completing the program.
The course will cost $60, which is great value (saving $1500+) thanks to the Smart Farm Small Grants funding, part of the Australian Governments National Landcare Program.
The program includes 6 days of soil training with agricultural ecologist David Hardwick, from Soil Land Food.
