CULTURAL AND GEOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVES OF OUR RIVERS

The Dhungala (Murray) Kaiela (Goulburn) and Yakoa (Campaspe) rivers are significant to our local landscape and communities. Join us for an evening presentation with Traditional Owner Sissy Cooper and renowned geomorphologist Neville Rosengren as they share their perspectives of our Rivers.

The evening will cover:
• Traditional Owner perspectives and stories
• Geological history of rivers, lunettes and paleo lakes and their formation
• Who’s fault was it? A story of several rivers and the Cadell Fault

This presentation will be delivered in an easy-to-understand and introductory manner, making it perfect for anyone who values and enjoys our beautiful local river environments. Light supper and refreshments provided.

Time: 6pm to 8.30pm
Cost: $10 per person, or free of charge for Landcare Group members.
